Description

Teaches filament 3D printing to design and produce biomedical spare parts, assistive tools and training devices for resource-limited hospital settings, covering CAD design, printer operation/maintenance and integration into clinical workflows. Taught by Jenny Dankelman, Tim Horeman and Arjan Knulst.

Expected learning outcomes

  • Identify healthcare challenges that can be solved with 3D printing.
  • Understand the principles of filament 3D printing.
  • Design biomedical spare parts, assistive and training devices using CAD software.
  • Setup, operate and maintain low-cost 3D printers.
  • Integrate printed parts into clinical workflows.
